SJUSJØEN HUSKY TOURSMost years a few of our puppies are looking for homes, and when our dogs retire from the tours they make wonderful family dogs. Come and meet them – that is the best start.
Our puppies can become the best family dogs, and the best sled dogs. The parents are tested and free of AHE, the puppies are dewormed and well socialised – guests visit the kennel every day through summer.
Puppies are welcome to stay here a little longer with their siblings if the eight week mark does not suit your plans. If you are interested, you are welcome to come and meet them all.
A retired dog from a big kennel like ours is usually about the easiest, friendliest dog you can get. Alaska huskies are healthy dogs that often reach 14, so we let ours retire around age 8. Sleeping on the couch, easy walks, maybe pulling their new owner on skis – with many good years left for their new family.
If you are an active person in a home that suits a dog, you are welcome to visit. The match between dog and owner matters most, so come and say hello, and perhaps try one at home for a while.
Bob is a brother of Audi and calm about everything and everyone. A happy boy who loves a cuddle, and still a very good sled dog – great on skis with a little practice, or in a hobby team. He usually runs wheel with us, and we have used him in lead as well. A dog to grow very fond of, simply.
Aussie is a big boy who never quite settled into the tourist runs. He could become a good sled dog in a hobby team, or a hiking friend and best friend at home. He is cuddly and very kind, and needs a little time with new people.
Miekak is eight years old, steady, calm and social. A fairly big boy who is kind to everything and everyone, and walks nicely on a leash. A safe companion who takes the days as they come.
We usually have more dogs than these that might be looking for homes. Ask us, and come and meet them.
